The Alapont edges of dock levellers (EOD), available in hydraulic and mechanical versions, are an optimal solution for loading and unloading goods in confined spaces where the installation of a conventional dock leveler is not feasible. Their design allows direct installation on the edge of the loading dock, with no need for a pit or civil works, resulting in significant savings in both costs and installation time.

Vehicle preparation and approach

The truck approaches the dock until it reaches the protection bumpers. As the unit is installed on the edge of the dock, the operator has a clear view to ensure the vehicle is perfectly centered in relation to the equipment.

Activation of the lifting system

On the hydraulic model, the platform is raised by pressing the control panel button. On the mechanical model, the side operating lever is inserted and pulled backwards, while the gas cylinder counterbalances the platform’s weight, making it easy to raise.

Positioning of the lip on the truck

Once maximum height is reached, the lip is projected. When the button is released or the lever is guided back, the leveler descends by gravity until the lip rests firmly on the truck bed.

Floating mode during loading

During operation, the leveler remains in floating mode. The Mini Dock automatically follows the vertical movements of the truck suspension as the vehicle gains or loses weight, maintaining a smooth transition.
